About the Role
Quora is seeking a talented Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Poe Creators team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Poe, Quora's AI platform, which integrates a variety of AI language models such as GPT-4, Claude 3, and more. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing features for the bot ecosystem and supporting bot creators on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, QA, and other engineers to deliver exceptional experiences and products for bot creators.
- Design, build, and maintain external developer APIs.
- Work closely with LLM providers and create tools and infrastructure to integrate new LLMs on Poe.
- Quickly iterate on projects from ideation to launch using the full web technology stack.
- Advocate for user experience and sustainable, scalable code practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Availability for meetings and communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
- 7+ years of experience with large-scale codebases and systems, particularly web applications.
- 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- 5+ years of experience in Python or a similar programming language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for Poe and Quora's products and mission.
- Interest in API design, the developer ecosystem, and overall developer experience.
- Commitment to code quality and designing elegant systems.
