About the Role
Quora is seeking a talented Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Poe Creators team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Poe, Quora's AI product, and contribute to building cutting-edge features from scratch. As a member of this team, you will focus on improving the bot ecosystem and supporting bot creators on the platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, data scientists, QA, and other engineers to deliver experiences and products for bot creators.
- Design, build, and maintain external developer APIs.
- Work closely with LLM providers and create tools and infrastructure to enable the integration of new LLMs on Poe.
- Iterate quickly on projects, from ideation to launch, using the full web technology stack.
- Champion both user experience and sustainable, scalable code practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Availability for meetings and communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
- 7+ years of experience working with large-scale codebases and systems, particularly web applications.
- 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- 5+ years of experience in Python or a similar programming language.
- A passion for learning and improving yourself and the team around you.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Passion for Poe and Quora's products and mission.
- Interest in API design, the developer ecosystem, and overall developer experience.
- Commitment to code quality and designing elegant systems.

For US-based applicants, the salary range is $174,400 - $275,750 USD + equity + benefits. For Canada-based applicants, the salary range is $179,311 - $283,515 CAD + equity + benefits.
