Join Our Team as a Senior Back-end Engineer - In App Analytics
Gorgias is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Back-end Engineer to join our In-App Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of our in-product analytics experience. As a Senior Back-end Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and building our analytics platform capabilities, which will be reused by other teams within the company.
About the Role
As a Senior Back-end Engineer, you will:
- Design and implement new features for our in-app analytics platform, ensuring they can be reused by other teams.
- Have a vision for architecture and systems design, supporting senior individual contributors in scaling and optimizing our architecture.
- Design, validate, and build new metrics, modeling OLAP cubes for sub-second performance to meet user-facing analysis needs.
- Participate in shaping the platform vision for data streaming, events system/storage, OLAP storage, and microservices relationships.
Who You Are
- You have 4+ years of experience in back-end development, particularly with Python and Flask.
- You are experienced with asynchronous microservices and have a strong understanding of distributed computing and architecture.
- You understand data consistency, the CAP theorem, cloud infrastructure, observability, and scaling.
- You are passionate about learning and helping others learn.
- You are driven and focused, able to see challenging projects through to completion.
- You have professional experience with Apache Kafka and/or Apache Flink (preferred).
