Join Our Fintech Team as a Senior Data Engineer
Agoda is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Fintech team in Bangkok. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and innovative projects in the fintech domain. We offer relocation support for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading our team to enhance the scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our existing data systems. You will be responsible for building, administering, and scaling data processing pipelines, and you will work with a diverse technology stack including Scala, Spark, Java, Golang, Python3, Hadoop, SQL, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical improvement of our data systems, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Build, administer, and scale data processing pipelines.
- Design, build, test, and deploy new libraries, frameworks, or full systems for our core systems.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and product owners to automate large-scale data management and analysis tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
- Expertise in Apache Spark and JVM, with proficiency in Java or Scala.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in debugging production issues.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and SQL.
- Systems administration skills in Linux.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystems and open-source products.
- Python/Shell scripting skills.
- Experience working in an agile environment using test-driven methodologies.
