About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Digital Engagement Team at Five9, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that integrate digital channels such as email, chat, SMS, and social media with our contact centre’s voice solutions. This integration is aimed at creating seamless, connected customer journeys across multiple channels, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. Follow coding best practices and contribute to the development of software modules, features, and functionalities.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Use your experience and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Project Management: Ensure that development stays on track, milestones are met, and the project aligns with business objectives.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java and other programming languages.
- Data Handling: Experience with Google BigQuery and Looker for building reports.
- Cloud Services: Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services and streaming technologies.
- Security: Awareness of web security best practices and the ability to implement security measures.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development and 2+ years with Looker and BigQuery.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
