About the Role
HubSpot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Monitoring team within Platform Infrastructure. This team is dedicated to providing a powerful monitoring and alerting experience to help our product teams deliver highly available and dependable products. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and building a suite of tools focused on enabling and improving incident response and remediation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and Build Tools: Develop and enhance a suite of tools that improve incident response and remediation processes.
- Design Resilient Infrastructure: Conceive, design, and build resilient infrastructure tooling that delights engineers who engage with it.
- Risk Identification and Advocacy: Proactively identify risks and advocate for engineering processes, tooling, or work streams that reduce risk in a customer-centric way.
- Collaborate on Best Practices: Work collaboratively within and beyond the team to define and improve monitoring and alerting best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Software Engineering: Proven experience in software development and engineering.
- Distributed Systems and Cloud Infrastructure: Experience designing and operating distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering teams.
- Interest in Observability: Interest in or experience with metric timeseries data and monitoring/alerting best practices.
- Customer-First Mindset: An empathetic, customer-first approach to engineering.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: €186,300 - €279,500 annually.
- Equity Plan: Participation in HubSpot’s equity plan with restricted stock units (RSUs).
- Bonus and Overtime: Annual bonus targets and eligibility for overtime pay.
