Job Overview
As a Senior Test Engineer at the Fiscale inlichtingen- en opsporingsdienst (FIOD), you will play a crucial role in developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and scripts. Your work will support the fight against fiscal and financial fraud by ensuring the quality of applications used in investigative research. This position is based in Amsterdam and offers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies and automated test scenarios to support developers and ensure product quality.
- Engage in the entire process from feature development to release acceptance, creating and executing test plans independently.
- Experiment with new frameworks, tools, and languages to enhance testing processes.
- Document issues in project management software like Jira.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including machine learning engineers, back-end and front-end developers, DevOps engineers, a UX designer, and a product owner.
- Work within a microservices landscape with a data processing pipeline featuring numerous AI components.

Qualifications
- HBO-level education, preferably in a technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing.
- Knowledge of end-to-end test technologies such as Playwright, Cypress, and Cucumber.
- Experience with test methods like acceptance (OTAP), feature, system, integration, and performance tests.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Preferably experienced in writing shell scripts in languages like Python.

About the Department - Directie FIOD
The FIOD is responsible for combating financial and fiscal fraud, including money laundering and corruption. The department is increasingly focusing on areas such as terrorism financing, cyber fraud, and undermining activities, using digital tools and modern technologies.
