Senior UX/UI Design Lead

About the Role

As a Senior UX/UI Design Lead at Satispay, you will be a pivotal part of our design team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This role involves leading the UX/UI team, ensuring its integration within cross-functional squads, and tracking the impact of its work on the company's objectives. You will foster a collaborative and innovative culture, providing guidance and support to your team.

Your Responsibilities

• Team Management and Mentorship: Oversee the UX/UI team in its day-to-day work, ensuring its integration within cross-functional squads and enabling it to track and understand the impact of its work on the company's objectives.
• Align Product Designs with Company Goals: Work closely with squad leaders, product managers, and key stakeholders to ensure that product designs align with company goals and vision while maintaining a focus on user experience.
• Define and Implement UX/UI Strategy: Develop and execute the overall design strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and user needs.
• Translate Business Requirements into User Experiences: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Conduct User Research and Testing: Gain insights into user behavior and preferences through research, usability testing, and analysis.
• Create and Iterate Design Concepts: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate ideas effectively and continuously optimize designs based on feedback and best practices.
• Establish and Maintain Design Standards: Ensure consistency and coherence across all products and platforms by setting and upholding design standards and guidelines.
• Stay Updated on Trends and Technologies: Keep up with emerging trends, technologies, and design tools to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Your Ideal Profile

• Relevant Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Communication Design, Service Design, or a related field.
• Proven Experience and Leadership: 5+ years of experience in UX/UI digital design roles and a minimum of 3 years of leading design teams.
• Design Tools and Methodologies: Proficient in Figma or similar design tools, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and design thinking methodologies.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Communication and Leadership: Able to lead and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Industry Passion and Language Proficiency: Fluent in Italian and English, with a passion for FinTech or startup environments.
