Join Our Team as a Tech Lead
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tech Lead to join our team at Ostrom, a leading digital energy management platform based in Berlin. As a Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of developers and collaborating closely with our Product team to build Europe's best energy management platform.
Your Role
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to the development team, making architecture and technology decisions that align with company goals.
- Software Development: Lead by example by designing and implementing software solutions. Write high-quality, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
- People Management: Mentor and support the development and growth of the team, driving collaboration and ensuring the achievement of team goals.
- Architectural Design: Collaborate on tech-stack decisions and processes to design a scalable renewable energy management platform using cutting-edge technologies.
- Project Planning: Participate in project planning, estimation, and roadmap discussions to ensure timely and within-scope project delivery.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential technical challenges and proactively find suitable solutions.
Your Profile
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- At least 2+ years of experience in leadership and/or mentoring roles.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python with 3+ years of experience.
- Comfortable with AWS services and API design.
- Experience with relational databases and CI/CD automation workflows (Docker, GitHub Actions).
- Strong focus on high code quality, unit testing, integration testing, and E2E testing.
- Experience with greenfield projects.
- Clear communication skills and fluency in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with third-party API integrations, e.g., Enode.
- Experience working on energy-related projects.
