About the Role
Philip Morris International (PMI) is seeking a Tech Lead for our Web Platform Team. This role is pivotal in driving the digital transformation of our business as we move towards a smoke-free future. As a Tech Lead, you will collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to bring the Digital Product vision to life. You will ensure that the solutions implemented adhere to design specifications and challenge the status quo to find improvements and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects: Work closely with these stakeholders to ensure the Digital Product vision is realized.
- Lead the Development Team: Maximize the value delivered by the team and ensure the delivery of the next potentially shippable increment.
- Technical Leadership: Be the "go-to" person for technical guidance and troubleshooting within the Product Team.
- Translate Business Requirements: Convert business needs into low-level technical designs.
- Establish Engineering Culture: Focus on code quality, scalability, and maintainability within the Platform Team and Frontend Chapter.
- Mentor and Coach: Provide guidance and support to software engineers.
- Contribute to Tech Initiatives: Engage in organization-wide tech initiatives and transformations.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience in Website Development: Comprehensive understanding of the web development ecosystem.
- Proven Experience with Front-End Applications: Ability to decompose applications, produce reusable code, and build micro-frontends.
- Expertise in CMS Platforms: Experience with Adobe Experience Manager Cloud (AEM) is essential.
- API Protocols: Proficiency in REST APIs and GraphQL.
- AWS Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with common AWS technologies and CI/CD tools and workflows.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in leading a small team.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate ideas to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Problem Solving and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
