Job Overview
Synergy is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of enterprise web applications and services. This role is pivotal in leading the analysis, solution design, and implementation phases, ensuring high-quality deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test enterprise web APIs, user interfaces, and batch jobs.
- Collaborate with product management to translate requirements into technical designs and provide estimates.
- Develop shippable code in short increments, focusing on high quality and adherence to security controls.
- Work closely with engineering and QA teams to manage and improve code quality.
- Define and implement unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability of applications.
- Lead technical teams and provide direction on software development practices and standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in Java, Angular, and other web technologies.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and other Java libraries.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and its main features.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
- Expertise in application database interoperation, preferably with Postgres.
- Proficient in REST, JSON, SOAP, WSDL, and XML Schema.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle for build management.
- Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or valid work authorization.
- Ability to attain a Federal Government Position of Trust.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with federal organizations.
- SCRUM/Agile development methodology.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0, Section 508).
This role offers a competitive salary range of $102,000 to $140,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including vision and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The position is based in Reston, Virginia and requires on-site presence.
