Role Overview
As a Senior Java Tech Lead at Concentrix Catalyst, you will be part of the engine that powers our experience design and engineering capabilities. You will work with a global solutions company that reimagines customer experience (CX) through strategy, talent, and technology. You will be surrounded by the best in the world, providing market-leading technology and insights to modernize and simplify the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software developers and coordinate with the offshore team in India.
- Design and develop high-quality Java applications.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, testing, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with teams to analyze requirements and define technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing Java applications.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 7 years in Java development.
- Experience managing a team and coordinating with offshore development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java SE/EE and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or Quarkus.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, XML, JS, Node.js, Web Services, REST services, and unit testing.
- Experience with back-end/server-side technologies and microservices environments like Kafka.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM technologies.
- Proficient in version control tools such as Git, build management tools like Maven, and deployment using Docker.
- Experience working in a Linux environment with Bash scripting.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Desired Skills
- Experience in UI Technologies like Angular, React, JavaScript (TypeScript, Express, RxJS), Python, and C.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills for internal team collaboration and external client interactions.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
