Join Our Team as a Data Quality Engineer
Imagine working in a team responsible for investment data within the Tribe Investments. Our solutions process information about all investment portfolios, presenting various challenges. Our data warehouse is crucial in the accountability chain to regulators, focusing on completeness, accuracy, traceability, and timeliness.
Your Role
As a Data Quality Engineer, you will leverage your analytical skills and technical expertise to make a difference in processing and unlocking investment data for various stakeholders inside and outside the bank. You will maintain contact with both the IT organization and the business to keep our applications and underlying database environments and infrastructure up-to-date. This involves testing our functionalities and datasets for quality, completeness, accuracy, traceability, and timeliness. You will also support clients and colleagues with your substantive and technical knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data by designing and executing test scenarios and validating data pipelines.
- Collaborate with a team of approximately 14 people, including Business Analysts, Data Engineers, BI Specialists, and Solution Architects.
- Work in a high-performing team that values diverse qualities and contributions, aiming for high-quality solutions.
- Operate within DevOps and Agile/Scrum principles, continuously developing within this methodology to maximize results.
Your Talents
- Customer-oriented, effective problem-solving, analytical skills, initiative, and quality-oriented.
- Educational level: HBO or academic level in (business) information science, computer science, or a similar field.
- Database expertise: Experience working with databases and SQL.
- Data quality: Good knowledge and experience with data testing methods and techniques.
- Data warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing methods and techniques.
- Azure skills: Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and strong knowledge of Azure Analysis Service and DAX.
- Power BI: Knowledge and experience with Power BI.
- Agile working: Experience working in an Agile environment.
Location and Work Environment
This position is based in Utrecht, Netherlands, with a hybrid work model allowing for both on-site and off-site work. Candidates must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.
What We Offer
- Scale 9: Monthly salary up to €6,130 based on 36 hours.
- An additional budget of 11% of your gross monthly salary for personal use.
- €1,400 budget for personal development.
- A thirteenth month and holiday pay.
- Flexibility in working hours and location-independent work.
