About the Role
As a Cloud Engineer at NPO, you will be part of the Hosting & Streaming team, which is dedicated to maintaining a robust web hosting and streaming infrastructure. This infrastructure supports NPO and its broadcasters in delivering a comprehensive media offering to the Dutch public. Your work will have a significant societal impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of seven colleagues to ensure the continuity and high availability of our services.
- Set up and manage our broadcasting-wide web hosting platform based on Red Hat OpenShift (Kubernetes), AWS, and custom products developed and maintained within the team.
- Support colleagues from NPO Start, NPO Luister, and other teams with cloud-related queries, both large and small.
- Share knowledge on increasing scalability, reducing costs, and adopting new services.
- Stay updated on cloud hosting developments and use this knowledge to enhance NPO's hosting services.
- Work closely with the team to maintain and improve our infrastructure, following Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps principles.
- Document work processes for team collaboration.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide first and second-line support for Hosting & Streaming products.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of AWS, demonstrated through certifications such as AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
- Experience with infrastructure as code in AWS, preferably with Terraform.
- Ability to manage an AWS Organization and Identity Center.
- Experience with automation and versioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Git.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties outside of office hours.

Employment Details
- The position is for 36 hours per week.
- You will receive a one-year contract with a salary ranging from €3,651 to €5,742 gross per month, based on 36 hours.
- We offer a hybrid work environment with flexible working hours.
