Join Our Team as a Data Analyst
Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking a Data Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary Data Services Team in Timişoara, Romania. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team’s mandate, from initial set-up to preparing client-ready data deliverables. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can grow and contribute to the development of responsible investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on Technical Feasibility: Evaluate the technical feasibility of new one-off or recurring deliverable requests and create samples in accordance with Data Services’ procedures.
- Automated Data Deliveries: Set up automated data deliveries (data feed and API) via our digital platform and support non-automated data deliveries as needed.
- Quality Control: Perform end-of-gate quality control on data through change detection and validation.
- Client Support: Provide technical and data integration support for Sustainalytics’ clients, collaborating closely with client advisors and the sales team.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and quality assurance enhancement.
- Internal Projects: Contribute to or lead internal projects and change management activities related to data deliveries.
Business Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, informatics, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in handling data, building reports, and data consultancy.
- Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage customer expectations.
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English at level C1+.
Nice to Have
- Technical Skills: Knowledge or experience with SQL, Python, and APIs.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the financial industry and trading is considered an asset.
- Competencies: Project Management, Business Analysis, or Data Management skills are a plus.
