Job Overview
Endpoints News is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the uptime, release management, infrastructure design, and network security of our systems. You will work closely with a team of high-performing engineers to enhance our cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation and efficiency in an open-source technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Design and Management: Lead initiatives to design and manage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Automation and CI/CD: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, working with engineers to streamline deployment processes.
- AWS Management: Utilize AWS services such as ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, and RDS to optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Containerization: Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Security and Governance: Collaborate with the security team to implement robust security and governance controls.
- Cost Optimization: Develop strategies to optimize AWS costs while maintaining service quality.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in DevOps and software development.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, particularly Jenkins.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with TDD and BDD methodologies.
