Tines is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and growing our engineering team, ensuring that Tines remains a great place for engineers to thrive.

Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

• Lead a Team: Manage a team of 4-6 software engineers responsible for developing and scaling the core execution engine that powers Tines.
• Support Growth: Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship to engineers at all levels, fostering their professional development.
• Collaborate Across Departments: Work with colleagues from various departments to plan and prioritize projects, breaking them down into manageable tasks and milestones.
• Facilitate Communication: Ensure effective communication between your team, other product and engineering teams, and other departments at Tines.
• Contribute Technically: Participate in technical discussions while allowing engineers the autonomy to make decisions.
• Recruit Talent: Help attract and recruit talented engineers to join our team.
• Foster Culture: Promote a culture of inclusion, ambition, and collaboration within the team.
• Maintain Technical Familiarity: Stay engaged with technical tasks to maintain familiarity with the engineering processes.

Is This Role Right for You?

• Experience: You have past experience in an engineering manager or team lead role, ideally in a scaling SaaS product company.
• Technical Background: A strong track record as a software engineer is essential. While you won't be expected to make significant code contributions, your technical experience will be key in supporting engineers and making informed decisions.
• Curiosity and Learning: We value curiosity and an eagerness to learn. Familiarity with Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, Docker, and AWS is beneficial but not required.
