Role Overview

As a Lead Platform and Infrastructure Engineer, your role will involve building, supporting, and consistently meeting business needs while simultaneously ensuring the stability of our infrastructure and increasing developer productivity. Your role will entail a combination of backend implementation and infrastructure design in conjunction with other platform responsibilities such as DevOps and security. You will build and test scalable solutions (message queues, state machines, db infrastructure improvements, microservices, lambdas, and more) to achieve broader strategic and product goals.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand challenges, propose ideas, and drive solutions.
• Continually automate repetitive tasks, improve existing processes, and add documentation to enhance the efficiency of the team.
• A strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, or a similar technical field is required for this role.
• A deep understanding of developer workflows and an eagerness to optimize and build custom solutions to enhance the delivery and reliability of our products.
• A highly analytical mindset and an eagerness to build technical solutions to complex business problems.
• High attention to detail and intellectual curiosity—you're not satisfied with surface-level answers. You want to dive into the data, the "how," and the "why" because "the way it's always been done" is not always the way it should be done.
• Low ego—the outcome matters more than who gets the credit.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
• Highly organized with an ability to multitask, problem-solve, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

What We Value

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
• 4+ years of experience of technical engineering experience.
• 2+ years of professional development experience with Python.
• Extensive experience with AWS, including architecture, deployment and management of scalable, high-availability systems.
