Agoda is seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Bangkok. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about data and technology, and who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

About the Role

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our data platform initiatives, leading a team to enhance the scalability, stability, and efficiency of our systems. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to build, administer, and scale our data platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical improvement of our data platform, focusing on scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Build, administer, and scale our data platform using technologies such as S3, Kubernetes, KubeFlow, Spark, SQL, Impala, Scala, Java, and Python.
Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop tools that automate large-scale data platform management.
Navigate and optimize our technology stack, including S3, Kubernetes, KubeFlow, Spark, SQL, Impala, Scala, Java, Python, and scripting (Bash/Python).

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Over 6 years of experience in Data Platform Administration, including Hadoop, S3, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Extensive experience in Kubernetes Administration.
Proficiency in Apache Spark performance tuning and debugging.
Strong understanding of JVM and experience with Java or Scala.
Experience with workflow schedulers such as KubeFlow, AirFlow, or Oozie.
SQL experience with tools like SparkSQL, Impala, BigQuery, Presto/Trino, or StarRocks.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience in systems administration on Linux.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with open-source products.
Python/Shell scripting skills.
Experience working in an agile environment using test-driven methodologies.
