Job Overview
Join Agoda as a Lead DevOps Engineer for our Data Platform team, based in Bangkok. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team in enhancing the scalability, stability, and efficiency of our data platform. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with experienced engineers to build and scale our data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical improvement of our data platform, focusing on scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
- Build, administer, and scale the data platform using technologies such as S3, Kubernetes, KubeFlow, Spark, SQL, Impala, Scala, Java, and Python.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop tools that automate large-scale data platform management.
- Navigate and manage a technology stack that includes S3, Kubernetes, KubeFlow, Spark, SQL, Impala, Scala, Java, Python, and scripting languages like Bash.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in Data Platform Administration, including Hadoop, S3, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Extensive experience in Kubernetes Administration.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark performance tuning and debugging.
- Strong understanding of JVM and experience with either Java or Scala.
- Experience with workflow schedulers such as KubeFlow, AirFlow, or Oozie.
- Proficient in SQL, with experience in SparkSql, Impala, BigQuery, Presto/Trino, or StarRocks.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience in systems administration on Linux.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with open-source products.
- Python/Shell scripting skills.
- Experience working in an agile environment using test-driven methodologies.
