Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Home Care team, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our platform to better serve our customers. You will be responsible for driving engineering projects to completion, focusing on impactful backend solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive engineering projects with a focus on backend development, ensuring timely and impactful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product and Design to plan and execute projects.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
- Solve complex technical problems and contribute to all levels of the stack when necessary.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in major programming languages like Go, Python, and PHP, and familiarity with mobile app development languages such as Swift and Kotlin.
- Solid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- A data-driven and critical problem-solving approach.
Bonus Points
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with the big data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
- Experience building APIs for full-fledged products.
