About the Role
Join our dynamic ALM (Asset & Liability Management) modelling team at ING Nederland, where we are responsible for developing and advising on ING's global ALM models. These models are crucial for pricing, funding, hedging, and capital requirement purposes. As a Senior ALM Model Developer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our models lead to stable Net Interest Income and accurate capital requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop models integrated into our business model, impacting global balance sheets.
- Focus on behavioural modelling for liabilities, including non-maturing deposits (NMDs) such as savings and current accounts.
- Develop regulatory models for NII and EVE Supervisory outlier tests (SOTs) and EBA Stress testing exercises.
- Monitor and model client behaviour using big data analytics to spot emerging trends.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization, requiring strong planning, stakeholder management, and technical skills.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments as ALM models are supervised by regulators.
Qualifications
- Academic degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Professional qualifications in financial risk (CFA, FRM) or willingness to obtain them.
- Experience in the financial sector, particularly within the IRRBB domain.
- Experience in modelling NMDs and familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for Banking Books.
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Fluent in English.
