Our Data Science & Analytics team is dedicated to enhancing decision-making at scale through a data-driven approach. We cover a wide range of data disciplines, including analytical data engineering, product analytics, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling, and machine learning. By partnering with product groups, we aim to discover new opportunities, influence product roadmaps, and measure the impact on our community.
Your Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:
- Define and measure success metrics for app performance, focusing on user engagement and monetization.
- Analyze trade-offs between different performance levers to optimize business growth and user experience.
- Access, transform, and analyze raw data, presenting it in compelling ways.
- Perform deep dives to uncover new insights and opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineers to detect and investigate abnormal trends.
- Use A/B experiments and causal inference methods to evaluate feature launches.
- Navigate ambiguity and work with partners across various teams, including User, Growth, Engine, and Creator teams.
Your Skills
- Passionate about data with a strong drive to learn new techniques and tools.
- Strong communicator capable of presenting analysis in meaningful ways.
- Expert in transforming data with SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R.
- Experienced in developing models using regression, data mining, and other statistical techniques.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably with a background in app performance.
