As a Data Scientist within our Social team, you'll leverage your technical chops to influence Social product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and propose strategies for improving communication and co-experience products on Roblox.
- Analyze feature adoption, engagement and monetization and highlight areas of opportunity.
- Conduct metric research to understand tradeoffs between voice engagement and safety and performance.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests autonomously, and drive our understanding of leverage in the context of experiments.
- Develop opportunity sizing models, metric targets, and own reporting and metric narratives shared with c-suite.
- Establish foundational metrics framework and reporting; partner with engineers to scale foundational datasets to drive insights.
Qualifications
- An Advanced or equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or another technical field
- 4+ years of industry or equivalent experience in Data Science and Analytics
- 4+ years of experience using big data query/processing languages such as SQL, PostgreSQL, Hive, or Spark to transform/manipulate extensive datasets
- 4+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
- Experience building a team from scratch as an individual contributor
- Experience working with content platforms, specifically user-generated content
- The ability to use analytics results and data storytelling to influence product teams and leaders
