About The Team
The Product Engineering team at Dialpad is tasked with developing customer-facing features at scale across all cloud-native products and services. Our engineers are empowered to own significant portions of the product, directly seeing the impact of their work.
Your Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating a new backend experience, reporting to the VP of Engineering. Your responsibilities will include crafting a long-term technical vision and delivering high-quality, scalable backend solutions using modern technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Create and implement a technical vision for the backend.
- Write architectural design documents.
- Develop and test features with low defect rates.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Optimize architecture for speed and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Skills You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
- Proficiency in Java and Python, with a strong understanding of microservices and cloud technologies.
- Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting.
