About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Datadog, you will be a key player in building our open-source static analyzer. Your primary responsibilities will include extending language support for our static analyzer, developing new capabilities such as data flow and multi-files analysis, and ensuring seamless integration with the Datadog ecosystem, including IDEs, Git Hooks, and CI/CD pipelines.
What You’ll Do
- Extend language support of our static analyzer
- Develop new features for our static analyzer such as data-flow and multi-files analysis
- Support our static analyzer, fix bugs, and address customer feedback
- Support our Software Composition Analysis (SCA) product for CI/CD
Who You Are
- Experienced Software Engineer with a good understanding of programming languages, parsers, and semantic analysis
- Skilled in using parser generators such as tree-sitter or ANTLR
- Proficient in one or more of the following languages: Rust, Go, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript; Rust experience is a plus
- Familiar with building IDE plugins and understanding how Language Server Protocol (LSP) works
- Knowledgeable about dependency analysis tools and how package managers impact the software supply chain
