Overview

Join Expedia Group as a Technical Solutions Associate, an early career role designed for individuals who are beginning their journey in technical operations. This position is ideal for those who have some vocational experience or training in a technical field but may not have formal education in the area. As a Technical Solutions Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports the technical infrastructure and operations of Expedia Group.

Responsibilities

• Team Role Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the team's role within the division and how it contributes to Expedia Group's business objectives.
• Issue Investigation: Assist in investigating issues or incidents by gathering and documenting necessary information.
• Problem Solving: Collect information to understand problems and identify their origins, researching precedents and known solutions for basic or routine problems.
• Quality Reporting: Assist with quality reporting and provide feedback to improve services and products.
• Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical support for complex internal and external systems, hardware/software, and connectivity issues, aiming for first contact resolution.
• Customer Service: Deliver high-level customer service by responding to inquiries and issues promptly.
• Technical Communication: Assist team members in creating routine technical communication materials such as policies, procedures, guidelines, and presentations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Help coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues.
• Data Support: Execute tasks and provide data to support the implementation of holistic solutions that integrate structure, people, process, and technology.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a vocational role.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent professional experience.
• Technical Skills: Basic technical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of SQL and Excel.
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with Python, C++, other programming languages, Querybook, Splunk, Kibana, Postman, Scrum/Agile methodologies, and automation experience.

• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of infrastructure services, cloud infrastructure, and systems concepts such as client/server architectures and databases.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create technical documentation.
• Team Player: Comfortable working within a team and reaching out for support when needed.
