Oracle is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our International Support team in Dublin, Ireland. This role is crucial in driving success and innovation within our Infrastructure team, particularly in the healthcare sector. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting and performing tasks that enhance the efficiency of our healthcare clients, ultimately improving patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Shared Services Management: Utilize skills in Active Directory (AD), Network Time Protocol (NTP), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Domain Name System (DNS) management.
• Incident Response: Build and lead a team that responds to incidents, troubleshoots production issues, interfaces with internal customers, collects data, and provides feedback to improve operations and platform stability.
• Technical Expertise: Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.
• Collaboration: Partner with development teams to define and implement improvements in operations.
• Escalation Point: Act as the first escalation point for complex or critical issues, responsible for initial triaging and coordination of production incidents.

Required Experience

• Educational Background: B.E or M.E degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry Qualifications: Expertise in Windows, ESXi, Oracle KVM, SCCM, SCOM, and Active Directory.
• System Administration: Strong skills in Active Directory Systems Administration, building, configuring, and performance tuning.
• Windows Environment: Experience in building, supporting, and maintaining Windows environments, with strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in Powershell scripting and extensive automation experience.
• Networking Protocols: Well-versed in commonly used networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, and SSH.
• Datacentre Architecture: Basic understanding of data center architectures, including servers, networking, storage, physical hardware, and virtualization.
• Oracle VM Manager: Experience in Oracle VM Manager LDOM / OVM Administration is a plus.
