Job Overview
Join NASA as a Computer Scientist specializing in Data Analysis within the Information, Data, and Analytics Service Line (IDAS). In this role, you will leverage NASA's data analytics infrastructure to build systems that efficiently process and model data to power analytics. You will engage with users to understand and automate data workflows, working closely with product managers to identify high-impact initiatives that further NASA's mission by providing technologies that produce high-quality data products.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage NASA's data analytics infrastructure to build efficient data processing systems.
- Model data to power analytics and engage with users to understand and automate data workflows.

- Assist in the analysis and application of concepts and best practices in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Visualization.
- Organize and analyze data sets to identify gaps and inconsistencies, improve data quality, and develop data products.
- Conduct technical presentations and prepare technical reviews across diverse organizations.
Qualifications
- Specialized experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Visualization.
- Experience in reviewing data sets to identify inconsistencies, improve data quality, and develop data products.
- Ability to apply concepts and best practices for data-related tasks.
- Experience in conducting technical presentations and preparing technical reviews.
Education Requirements
- A master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field, or equivalent combination of experience and graduate study.
- Relevant undergraduate education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with supplementary courses in relevant fields.
