IT Integration Engineer - Azure Platform

Job Overview

Join Patagonia as an IT Integration Engineer - Azure Platform and play a crucial role in our mission to save our home planet. You will oversee the development and maintenance of our integration layer and data warehouse architecture, ensuring smooth and efficient system operations. Your work will integrate environmental considerations into technology solutions and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple implementations, including the new UK Warehouse, and develop necessary integration workflows.
• Engage in all phases of development, implementation, and maintenance of Patagonia’s integration layer and data warehouse ingestions.
• Design and optimize data flows using Azure Data Factory, ensuring seamless integration with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Develop custom integrations and workflows in collaboration with system analysts and the US Development team, leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
• Perform and support structured end-to-end testing cycles for upgrades, implementations, or other changes.
• Maintain high-quality documentation of projects, requirements, and business rules.
• Provide technical support and assistance to System and Business Analysts.
• Communicate and transfer knowledge to relevant business and system analysts and other key users.
• Design and develop integration solutions that meet business requirements and follow best-practice design patterns.
• Support business analysts in testing integration solutions.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot integration issues in the production environment and build a reliable monitoring process.

Qualifications

• Passion for the outdoors and saving our home planet.
• Background in IT, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Integration Engineer.
• Development and support experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development, C# or Python.
• Proficient with ANSI SQL Language; knowledge of platforms like Snowflake, MSSQL is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft BizTalk Server, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Service is desirable.
• Knowledge of API, SOA architecture, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Experience with agile-based development methodology.
• Understanding of development processes using CI/CD and Git.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to detect and troubleshoot faults in a complex integration environment.
• Effective communication skills with technical and business teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam.
• We offer a hybrid work model, allowing work from home for up to 3 days per week.
• Our interview process includes standardized questions focusing on role success.
• Interviews may be scheduled after 6pm CET due to time zone differences with the US IT team.
