Role Overview
As the Lead Process Engineer at Worten Portugal, you will spearhead the department responsible for developing efficient repair processes, solving operational issues, and implementing cost-reduction strategies. This role involves leading a team of process engineers and integrating advanced practices in logistical efficiency, operational research, scenario modeling, and industrial efficiency. A special focus will be on maximizing efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in standardizing processes across departments and certifying internal and external processes according to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize repair and operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity, focusing on logistical, industrial, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of process engineers, ensuring continuous training and skill development.
- Conduct operational research to identify innovative solutions that optimize operational and logistics flows.
- Apply scenario modeling to predict outcomes of proposed changes and assess potential risks.
- Implement strategies to increase industrial efficiency and customer satisfaction across all operational areas.
- Lead initiatives to standardize processes across various departments to ensure consistency and quality.
- Implement innovative cost-reduction processes and strategies to minimize operational expenses.
- Supervise the certification of internal and external processes to comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other managers and team members to promote a continuous improvement and innovation environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, particularly in a production or technical operations environment.
- Experience leading technical teams, preferably in process engineering.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong skills in efficiency logistics, industrial operations, and operational research, with a focus on continuous customer-oriented improvement.
- Experience with scenario modeling and risk analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multifunctional team environment.
