Job Overview
CoreMedia Portugal is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer AWS to join our Engineering team. This role is pivotal in operating, troubleshooting, and improving our services to ensure high availability and security for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform system updates and modifications on behalf of customers and stakeholders.
- Respond to system incidents, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to restore services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders about system status and changes.
- Collaborate with the Support and Operations team, and cooperate with the DevOps team.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools.
- Monitor and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Regularly participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system administration, network management, and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in command line (Linux) and scripting (Python, bash).
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and virtualization management platforms.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, Loki, Zabbix.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
