Job Overview
Join the Credit Infrastructure team at ING Belgium as a Senior Credit Risk Data Engineer. This role is pivotal in managing the technical aspects of credit risk data and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will be part of a team responsible for the calculation processes of regulatory models, default and forbearance detection, and the generation of various risk indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Drive technical activities within the team, ensuring that credit engines run smoothly and comply with the latest policy updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Credit Risk Functional Analysts and modelers to ensure functional requirements are properly implemented.
- Data Landscape Management: Understand the complex Credit Risk Data Landscape, including credit risk models (PD, EAD, LGD) and engines (DOD, EWS).
- Incident Management: Ensure incidents are logged and addressed promptly, with clear communication to all involved parties.
- Tooling and Data Landscape Implementation: Contribute to building seamless data flows and efficient tooling for the Risk family and Business tribes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience working with Oracle Databases, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Skills: Strong interest and understanding of data systems, regulation, and technology, especially data lake architecture.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Additional Skills: Interest in the design of data marts is a plus.

Team Environment
The Credit Infrastructure team is integral to the Risk Architecture department, responsible for building and maintaining batch engines that compute parameters crucial for capital calculation, risk-weighted assets, and loan loss provisions. The team also maintains the data mart used for developing new models and acts as a vital link between credit risk business and operational tribes like data management.
