About the Role
As a Senior Data Modeler at ING Hubs Romania, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of data across the organization. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary cross-border team that includes Business Analysts, DevOps engineers, Data Governance officers, and Data Quality specialists. Your primary responsibility will be to enable the flow of data from providers to end users using a Data Lake architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute ING’s Esperanto Process: Work in an Agile environment to align with other chapters and stakeholders.
- Refine Requirements: Collaborate with business representatives to refine requirements and translate them into business terms and conceptual models.
- Deliver High-Quality Models: Create and maintain ING Esperanto business terms, Conceptual Data Models, Logical and Physical Data Models, and ensure they meet agreed principles and quality criteria.
- Support and Train Colleagues: Provide coaching and training on ING Esperanto to colleagues.
- Collaborate with DevOps Teams: Work closely with DevOps teams, final data consumers, and countries on solution development, testing, and release.
- Maintain Data Models: Support the usage of data models within the ING organization, including maintaining business terms, definitions, and data quality requirements.
- Set Design Principles: Establish and maintain design principles, standards, and guidelines for Esperanto components.
- Data Analysis and Issue Investigation: Conduct data analysis and investigate issues involving medium to complex data aggregation and processing.
What You Bring
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in banking, working with financial products and/or regulatory requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts, understanding of Entity-Relationship and Dimensional Data Modelling, and experience with data modelling tools like PowerDesigner and InfoSphere Data Architect.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- IBM’s BDW Models: Familiarity with IBM’s BDW models.
- Senior Database Developer Experience: Experience as a Senior Database Developer, Solution Designer, or Data Architect.
- Vision on Data Management: A strong vision on data management and an affinity with IT.
