Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Valtech is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between software development and operations, ensuring our clients can leverage the benefits of continuous deployment without compromising on customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Develop systems for observability and monitoring.
Analyze failure scenarios and devise mitigation strategies.
Assist in creating runbooks to prevent or remediate failure scenarios.
Reduce non-value-adding work and streamline processes.
Participate in and facilitate incident management, including on-call duties.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, QA, or Cloud engineering, with at least 2 years dedicated to Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
Experience with incident management in high-traffic, public-facing online services.
Proficient in programming and scripting.
Basic knowledge of serverless services in public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Extensive experience with monitoring systems like Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
Experience with microservices technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of software architecture and system thinking.
Excellent command of English (C1 level or above).
