Datadog is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our CWS agent team in Madrid. This team is responsible for building the runtime security agent that provides security detections and protections across various environments by monitoring system events such as process activity, file integrity monitoring, and network activity. Our team consists of engineers with expertise in eBPF, networking, and the Linux kernel.

The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer on the CWS agent team, you will:

• Own new feature development: Take charge of the entire development process from technical definition to implementation.
• Build common eBPF functionality: Develop eBPF-based products for our product teams.
• Research and prototype: Innovate new ways to stress test our detection engine and enhance our security coverage.
• Drive testing strategy: Maintain and increase our platform coverage while minimizing performance impact.

Who You Are

• Experienced in Linux kernel development: You have worked with and developed in the Linux kernel, using eBPF, as a kernel developer, or building low-level programs in C.
• Skilled in high throughput/low latency systems: You have significant experience in building systems that require high throughput and low latency.
• Customer-focused: You are motivated by solving problems for our customers and building products they love.
