Role Overview
As the Engineering Manager for the Notifications team at Whatnot, you will be at the forefront of developing a world-class messaging framework. This role involves strategic planning and execution to enhance the Notifications experience for both buyers and sellers, driving significant business growth. You will lead a team responsible for consumer applications and backend systems, focusing on innovative solutions and high-quality execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers across various consumer applications and backend systems.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to influence the strategic direction of the Notifications team.
- Advocate for technical solutions that support the growth of Whatnot.
- Plan and manage projects, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams.
- Handle stakeholder management effectively, balancing competing priorities and navigating ambiguity.
