Role Overview
Join Whatnot as a Senior Software Engineer on the Seller Experience team, where you will play a pivotal role in empowering our community of sellers with innovative tools and experiences. This position is crucial for developing scalable, user-friendly solutions that enhance the seller journey at every step of the lifecycle, from onboarding to scaling and growth. You will tackle a wide range of problems faced by both casual resellers and large retailers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement back-end solutions to improve the seller experience.
- Work across the stack, handling both backend and frontend tasks as needed.
- Rapidly ship new features and improvements with a focus on the user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Continuously learn and apply new programming languages and technologies to solve complex problems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a fast-growing technology company.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Elixir.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a user-first approach to solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful features quickly.
- Experience in ecommerce or technology related to seller experiences is a bonus.
