The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Flo Health Inc., you will be part of an ambitious and innovative engineering team focused on product development and the enhancement of internal tools. Our goal is to deliver the best experience to all of our customers, leveraging a highly product-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Server-side programming: You will engage in server-side development to ensure robust backend services.
- Polyglot persistence: Utilize the best database solutions for specific cases, ensuring efficient data handling.
- API-first approach: Prioritize API development to support scalable and flexible applications.
- Distributed scalable environment: Work within a distributed system to enhance performance and reliability.
- Continuous Delivery: Implement and maintain continuous delivery practices to ensure a seamless deployment process.
- Real-Life Big Data application: Apply real-world big data solutions to improve product functionality and user experience.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience in building distributed applications and services.
- Strong knowledge of Scala/Java or Python, DevOps, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in API development and a love for building scalable server-side applications.
- An agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with streaming processing and public cloud infrastructure.
