Vinted enables people to sell and buy second-hand clothes and lifestyle items from each other, helping give those items a second or even third life.
Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Payments team, you will be at the heart of Vinted’s mission to make second-hand the first choice worldwide. You will work in Product Engineering teams that are equipped with all competencies needed to drive decisions and delivery. Your main responsibilities will include implementing business logic that integrates with both Vinted Marketplace and third-party providers. You will also be tasked with expanding our services to allow teams to work autonomously and deliver product features rapidly.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively in a team to shape features enhancing user experiences with payments.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work.
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Write unit tests for all code you write, contributing to our extensive test suite that runs in about 5 minutes.
- See your code impact over 80 million users almost instantly with deployments happening multiple times per day.
- Work with technologies like Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and more.
