Senior Backend Engineer, Payments

About the Role

Vinted is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Payments Product Engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our payment systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance our members' payment experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of backend engineers, QA, product managers, and decision scientists to design and implement new features.
Develop and maintain backend services that integrate with Vinted Marketplace and third-party providers.
Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Ruby on Rails and other technologies.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog.
Apply Agile and Lean principles to ensure timely delivery of features.
