Senior Backend Engineer, Payments
VintedAbout the Role
Vinted is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Payments Product Engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our payment systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance our members' payment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of backend engineers, QA, product managers, and decision scientists to design and implement new features.
- Develop and maintain backend services that integrate with Vinted Marketplace and third-party providers.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Ruby on Rails and other technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles to ensure timely delivery of features.
