Overview
Join Trading 212 as a Senior Backend Engineer in our Sofia office, where you will be part of a dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of fintech. Our mission is to make financial markets accessible to everyone, and we achieve this through innovative technology and exceptional product design.
What You'll Do
- Develop solutions by taking a holistic approach to problem-solving, considering business problems, service architecture, and underlying technologies.
- Engage in the full SDLC, from forming requirements and designing implementations to coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring.
- Develop for performance, scale, and resilience in a highly-scalable system consisting of 200+ microservices.
- Work in compact, autonomous teams with short release cycles, fostering a culture of excellence and high velocity.
What You Need To Have
- Experience with developing services in a microservice architecture.
- Good familiarity with common communication protocols like HTTP/WebSockets & AMQP.
- Prior experience with at least one commonplace web framework, regardless of the language.
- Deep understanding of RDBMS concepts, including indexing, transactions, isolation levels, and locking mechanisms.
Nice to Have
- Experience with in-memory databases like Redis/Memcached.
- Ongoing or completed CS education.
