Join Vinted as a Software Engineer in Data Infrastructure
Vinted, the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Data Streaming team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a friendly and knowledgeable team with big ambitions. You will be part of the Data Infrastructure domain, building products to enhance our data capabilities across Vinted.
About the Role
As a member of the Streaming team, you will work closely with your direct colleagues and the wider engineering function to scale our existing platform and enhance the developer experience. You will face novel challenges daily, managing a platform that delivers 1.5 million events per second.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve technical problems with large scope, complexity, and business impact.
- Recognize impediments to team efficiency and propose solutions.
- Advocate for improvements in product, performance, and security.
About You
- Experience in professional software development.
- Proficiency in Java or other JVM languages.
- Knowledge of agile, DevOps, and automation (testing, build, deployment, CI/CD).
- Exposure to data streaming frameworks such as Flink, Spark-streaming, Storm, Kafka-streams, Kinesis.
- Understanding of general infrastructure areas – compute, storage, network.
- Experience with modern software development life-cycle.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated and self-managing with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building developer tools/platforms.
- Systematic problem-solving approach with effective communication skills.
- Interest in learning new software development skills and techniques.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €55,200 - €87,600 gross per year.
