About Vinted
Vinted Marketplace is the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe dedicated to second-hand fashion, with a growing member base of over 80 million registered members spanning 20 markets in Europe and North America. Vinted enables people to sell and buy second-hand clothes and lifestyle items from each other, helping give those items a second or even third life.
Position Overview
As a Backend Engineer in the Transactional Experience domain at Vinted, you will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for ensuring a seamless transactional experience for our members. You will work alongside mobile platform engineers (iOS, Android), web engineers, and other backend engineers to ship new features without outside help.
Responsibilities
- Implement business logic and write APIs for mobile and web platforms.
- Grow our backend platform to handle a wider scale.
- Break down large monoliths into smaller, manageable components and services.
- Write unit tests (RSpec) and participate in code reviews.
- Monitor deployed code through Kibana, Grafana, DataDog.
- Own SLIs/SLOs in the product team.
About You
- Willing to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Familiar with Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Systems Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture.
- Engage in constructive and healthy conflict, maintaining respect and professionalism.
