About the Role
Vinted is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Trust & Safety team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our platform, protecting our community from malicious content and activity. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for writing elegant code and working on large-scale projects that prepare our product for future challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team to enhance features that improve our members' experience.
- Lead initiatives at the team and domain level to create a safer environment for our users.
- Transform large monolithic systems into smaller, component-based services.
- Engage in code reviews and collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests.
- Write unit tests using RSpec for all code, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Deploy code that impacts over 80 million users, with changes going live immediately upon merging.
- Work with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and more.
- Monitor deployed code using tools like Kibana, Grafana, and DataDog.

Working at Vinted

Salary
The salary range for this position is €59,700 - €80,700 gross per year.
