Join Vinted as a Backend Engineer in the Buyer Domain
Vinted, the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe, is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Buyer domain team. This team is pivotal in connecting buyers with products, optimizing the shopping experience, and promoting successful transactions through a user-friendly platform with advanced search features and personalized recommendations.
About the Role
As a Backend Engineer in the Search Subdomain team, you will:
- Implement and shape search-related features that positively impact our 80+ million users.
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Roll out code changes instantly to production and monitor deployed code through tools like Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure service layer measurements (SLI, SLO, etc.) are maintained.
- Work closely with engineering and product managers, frontend engineers, analytics, and other stakeholders to deliver features.
About You
- Hands-on experience in software engineering with familiarity in distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Strong willingness and motivation to learn new technologies such as Vespa search engine, Redis, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across domains.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €42,696 - €80,700 gross per year.
