Vinted Marketplace is the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe dedicated to second-hand fashion, with a growing member base of over 80 million registered members spanning 20 markets in Europe and North America. Vinted enables people to sell and buy second-hand clothes and lifestyle items from each other, helping give those items a second or even third life. Vinted Go, a new brand and business from Vinted, focuses on developing products and solutions for more seamless shipping and delivery across Europe.
Position Overview
As a Platform Engineer in the Privacy Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tools and interfaces that enhance privacy protection for Vinted members and employees. You will work closely with the Marketplace and Data Infrastructure teams to integrate privacy into our features and platforms, and collaborate with the Security and Privacy teams to develop effective tools.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for privacy features, tooling, integrations, monitoring, and maintaining technical compliance with regulations.
- Plan and execute initiatives to address risks and improve privacy protections.
- Collaborate with engineers across the organization to implement Privacy by Design.
- Create automated monitoring and controls using Privacy Enhancing Technologies.
- Prepare guidelines and policies for privacy-related technical topics.
- Communicate industry best practices and trends in privacy engineering.
About You
- Passionate about privacy and technology.
- Familiar with cloud platforms and their tooling.
- Experienced in testing, coding, and debugging.
- Analytical skills to assess risks and impacts from a privacy perspective.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with Ruby and Rails is a plus.
