This is exactly what a Senior Linux Engineer at Korton does. As our organization grows, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the daily operation of our high-end client systems based on clustering and virtualization. Our environment is a mix of Linux systems, MariaDB/MySQL databases, VMware virtualization, and various application servers such as Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM, and Java. We also utilize clustering services based on HAProxy and NFS storage clustering.
You will work alongside passionate colleagues to resolve issues and participate in projects. Flexibility, solution-oriented thinking, and a service-oriented mindset are key to success in this role.
Requirements
- HBO work and thinking level
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in ICT
- Certified and/or demonstrable experience with Linux Ubuntu or CentOS
- Knowledge and experience in Linux clustering and load-balancing, such as HAProxy and NFS systems
- Experience with task automation using Ansible
- Familiarity with a wide range of monitoring solutions and methodologies, such as Nagios/Icinga, LibreNMS, and Observium
- Proficiency with popular web servers like Apache and Nginx
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, firewalls, switches, and routing
- A keen eye for security and safe working practices
