Job Overview
As a Manager of Data Science and Analytics in the Transactional Experience domain at Vinted, you will lead a team of data specialists, including Decision Scientists and Analytics Engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the domain’s product and business initiatives are data-driven. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams to drive strategic opportunities and answer key business questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and shape the processes, rituals, and vision of your data team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and answer key business questions.
- Contribute to and own the key performance indicators of the team, including selection, tracking, forecasting, and proactive flagging of issues.
- Maintain a backlog with prioritized hypotheses and analyses.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between Analytics Engineering and Backend Engineering to efficiently adjust data pipelines based on any source data changes.
- Support the team in migrating the current on-premises data warehouse to Google Cloud Platform.
- Contribute to complex analytical challenges through hands-on contribution.
About You
- Demonstrable experience leading teams, ideally in developing data products.
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with dashboarding tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Statistical proficiency, including A/B testing and regression analysis.
- Some programming experience in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a business-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex topics clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to balance between analysis depth and business impact.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Advantageous: Experience working in a tech company or in a cross-functional product development team.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €5,040 - €7,130 gross per month.
