Position Overview
Docker is seeking a results-oriented Account Executive for the Mid-Market segment. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a proven track record in strategic account sales. You will be part of a dynamic team, driving growth and adoption of Docker within our existing user base while also spearheading new client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Accurately forecast business on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Establish and maintain active engagement with clients.
- Respond to and qualify incoming inquiries about Docker products.
- Craft a great first impression to prospects and customers, adding value at every touchpoint.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share customer feedback.
Requirements
- 3+ years of work experience in software sales.
- Demonstrated track record of success.
- Experience with technical products or the ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts.
- Experience with Open Source Software business models is preferred.
- Strong skills in all aspects of B2B technology sales including pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, and closing opportunities.
- Positive and upbeat phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
- Sales training and Salesforce experience are a plus.
Onboarding and Training
- First-class onboarding experience including equipment setup and a collaborative training program.
- Learn to navigate through award-winning sales tools such as Salesforce, LeadIQ, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and Docker.
- Develop unique prospecting strategies with your manager and peers.
Growth and Development
- By the end of your first month, you will have a proficient grasp of the tools and activities necessary to be successful.
- By your second month, focus on Account Management and Opportunity Generation.
- By the third month, you will be confident in your craft and fully immerse yourself in your day job, ready to close multiple transactions.
